| | Broomball is so much more fun than any other sport that I play. The fact that even the good people fall on their asses and can't change direction quickly makes it even more fun. Also, I was a stud this week. Two shutouts during which someone on my team got a hat trick. I love goaltending. I feel confidant and strong back there. Today I made several diving saves and most of my saves were punching the ball out of the air rather than stick saves, which was more badass I think.
I mostly love it because I am a part of the defensive team. I have always liked the defensive side of any sport more than the offensive side. I like stiffling an attack. I like working as a unit to break up a play. Even though I didn't face many shots on goal on Tuesday night, that was the most efficient defense I have ever been a part of and it felt good, even though I deserved very little of the glory. I love shutouts and penalty kills!
Here is a bullet list of my other updates:
-I got a good haircut
-I bought 3 new pairs of pants... in the same day/week/month!
-I am down 22 pounds and my face finally has stopped being so jowely. It's about damn time.
-I bought a brand new hat that may in fact be my new best friend.
Look at the features on this guy! Pompom snowball on top, maroon and gold, MINNESOTA lettering on both sides, fold up brim all the way around, ear flaps, and strings from the earflaps! This hat has it all! What is it missing? NOTHING. Booya. I am very passionate about quality hats, which you should know if you are reading this weblog. It's good to finally have a keeper again after that fitted Twins cap debacle from last summer. Ugh, I still am angry about that. Moving on.
I should smart-up this entry. Everyone excited about the inauguration? Should be a cool event. I bet that D.C. Metro system will be overworked and overcrowded, eh? Eh, I am not buying this either. Peace out.
